On this particular day, I had just come from our Women With a Purpose meeting at my church. It was such a beautiful gathering of like-minded women who all share the same goal-to let our light shine in a way that glorifies God.

During the meeting, I had the amazing opportunity to be part of a round table discussion and share some of my personal life experiences with women that I love, respect and trust. I also received so many valuable words of wisdom from my sisters that I’ll cherish forever.

After the event was over, I grabbed a bite to eat with a few of my friends (I was waaay to nervous to eat before). Later, I met up with my husband, and we decided to pull out the camera and get a few shots in, just in time to catch the beautiful, golden glow of the sunset.

If you’re like me, a special occasion is a perfectly good reason to purchase something new.

I picked this jacket and pants up from Cutely Covered, an up-and-coming online boutique. My Women With a Purpose tee completed the look, creating a vibe that was casual, but chic.

My favorite part of the outfit was definitely the pants. The “shimmy-shimmy” jokes were non-stop all day, and I finally decided to get in on it myself.

I just love being a woman.
