Easy At-Home Hair Styling: “Quarantine” Crochets
The DIY-after you watch YouTube-hairstyles have always been a hit or miss with me, but I have to say that these “quarantine” crochets have me feeling like a whole cosmetologist.:-) The hair was VERY inexpensive, and extremely easy to work with.

This was only my second time crocheting my hair, but this time around I wanted to try a different braid pattern, in hopes that it wouldn’t take as long as the individuals that I did before (total lies).
Due to the fact that I am not an experienced cornrow braider, I knew things would be interesting.
What I didn’t know was that I would completely flop right out of the gate.
The initial cornrow technique that I tried from Youtube was a total fail, costing me hours of time since I had to take them down and start over.
At this point I had way too much skin-in-the-game, so I wasn’t about to give up. After a bit of trial and error, I found a braid pattern that worked for me, and things finally started coming together. After a very, very long day of twisting, my hair was done, and I absolutely love it!
That’s one of the reasons why I’m so obsessed with DIY projects.
There’s something so satisfying about trying something that you had no clue how to do, yet you were able to figure it out and make it work.
